NCT’s Chenle has been an outspoken fan of the Warriors, especially player Stephen Curry (also known as Steph Curry).

He and fellow member Mark were spotted last year in attendance at a game as part of the online “Dub Hub” call as the NBA allowed fans to attend virtually due to COVID-19.

Chenle especially is one of the most successful fans, as he has been noticed not only by the official Warriors accounts but also by his favorite player!

The Warriors continued to recognize their famous fans when they announced that GOT7’s BamBam would be the team’s official Global Ambassador!

In his role, BamBam helped players such as Andrew Wiggins secure a spot at the 2022 NBA All-Stars. Since then, he has also visited the Chase Center, met the teammade history as the first K-Pop idol ever to perform an NBA halftime show, and released “Wheels Up” along with Mayzin under the Warriors’ new franchise label.

Now, the Warriors is attempting to steal the heart of one of the biggest NBA fans in the entire K-Pop industry: BTS‘s Suga.

ARMYs know that Suga loves basketball a lot. So, one of his favorite pastimes is watching the NBA on TV or in person.

Even his stage name, “Suga,” comes from his love for basketball. The name is made up of the first two parts of the words: “shooting guard,” which is the position he plays in basketball.

Suga has shown love for teams many times over the years, namely the Chicago Bulls, Philadelphia 76ers, Los Angeles Lakers, Los Angeles Clippers, and Portland Trail Blazers. And that’s certainly not going to stop the Warriors from attempting to win him over!

On September 27 (KST), Suga shared a photo of himself holding a custom Warriors jersey via BTS’s shared Twitter account. It included his stage name and his favorite number on the back.

The Warriors quote-tweeted the post with the eyes and fire emoji…

The Golden Guardians, the esports organization owned by the Golden State Warriors, replied…

That’s not all. The official Instagram account for the Warriors followed Suga.

So, something is definitely up!

Suga just traveled from Korea to Japan for an “overseas schedule.” We’re almost certain it has something to do with the Warriors.

The Warriors are playing against the Washington Wizards in the upcoming 2022 Japan Games at Saitama Stadium in Japan on September 30th and October 2nd. So, Suga will be in attendance.

Earlier this year, Suga caught the attention of the Portland Trail Blazers and the team’s star player Damian Lillard. Read more about Suga and his favorite player below.
