“Emergency Declaration” is dominating the Korean box office!
Directed by Han Jae Rim, “Emergency Declaration” is an upcoming disaster film about the unprecedented calamities that arise when a terrorist threat is made against an impending flight. The movie stars Song Kang Ho, Jeon Do Yeon, Lee Byung Hun, Kim Nam Gil, Im Siwan, Kim So Jin, and Park Hae Joon.
According to the Korean Film Council, “Emergency Declaration” had officially surpassed 1 million moviegoers at the box office as of August 6 at 2:30 p.m. KST – less than four days after its release on August 3. It is surpassing moviegoers at a similar rate as this summer’s top hits “Top Gun: Maverick” and “Hansan: Rising Dragon,” and it is closely following behind “Exit” and “Ashfall,” which reached 1 million moviegoers in three days.
Congratulations to the film’s cast and crew!
In the meantime, watch Im Siwan in “The King Loves” with English subtitles:
