Netizens are comparing today’s hottest male celebrities to an iconic trio from the past.
A TikTok posted by @gadonkoze went viral in just a day. At the time of writing, it has 809.4K views.
The creator asked, “Who is this generation’s Leonardo DiCaprio, Johnny Depp, and Brad Pitt?” Basically, are there three male celebrities that can come close to this iconic trio of heartthrobs from 90s Hollywood?
Sure enough, with the video going viral, netizens flooded the comments with answers. Many suggested award-winning actor Timothée Chalamet, British pop star Zayn Malik, and Stranger Things actors Finn Wolfhard and Noah Schnapp, among many more young adult actors.
Yet, BTS‘s V was one name that appeared in nearly every comment, even if the other names differed.
Scrolling through the comment section on TikTok, V’s name (including his real name Kim Taehyung) appeared continually. The most liked comments, too, included his name.
And, it should be noticed it was not only ARMYs (BTS fans) commenting. Most comments were “locals” or self-proclaimed non-fans.
It proves just how influential and what an “it boy” he really is. Especially considering how easily he hits it off with celebrities worldwide, we can certainly agree that he is this generation’s equivalent of one of the most beloved 90s heartthrobs.
Not only that, but V has certainly been influenced by not one but two of the three Hollywood actors mentioned above. ARMYs had previously pointed out the similarities between V and Leonardo DiCaprio‘s Gatsby in Peakboy‘s “GYOPO HAIRSTYLE” MV.
Additionally, V revealed that he was inspired by the 1990 teen film Cry-Baby, starring Johnny Depp, for “Butter.” Read more below:
