MONSTA X‘s Joohoney has always been a standout in the industry due to his passion as an artist and performer. It’s what made him so magnetic that he was a favorite from the very beginning of No Mercy, the survival show that created MONSTA X. And it’s also what created some of the most enduringly iconic moments in MONSTA X history, such as the famous “Baksu” meme.

Recently, in a fun-packed episode of Knowing Bros, Joohoney brought that passion to the floor with a highly entertaining performance of aespa‘s “Next Level.” The whole performance was gold from start to finish, starting with the way Joohoney kicked it off with “Baksu!” (and the hilarious way Minhyuk reacted to it).

The audience, which consisted of the other cast members, including 2PM‘s Jun.K and Wooyoung, THE BOYZ‘s Juyeon and Q, ASTRO‘s Moonbin and Sanha, and Super Junior‘s Leeteuk and Shindong, were on their feet straight away, singing and jumping along to Joohoney’s rap.

In fact, his energy soon had everyone hilariously crowding in front of him like fans at a concert.

The performance was not long, but it more than provided the boost of serotonin we all needed. And Joohoney clearly had a lot of fun with the song, proving that he really is aespa’s biggest fan in truly iconic fashion.

Yet, this isn’t the first time he’s drawn attention for covering aespa. He has covered “Next Level” on the Midnight Idol radio show, and he also hilariously covered “Black Mamba” (leg drop and everything) in a rather chaotic karaoke session with the MONSTA X members.

Given his inclination for aespa’s songs, we can’t wait to see what hilarious cover he’ll do next. Thank you to Joohoney for being the passionate performer that he is! He never fails to make fans smile!
