In a recent interview and pictorial for Dazed magazine, Stray Kids’ Hyunjin talked about his hopes for 2022. Posing for the magazine’s February issue, Hyunjin modeled an array of fashion-forward looks that mixed classic pieces with a futuristic vibe. In his post-shoot interview, the idol happily remarked, “While posing for this unusual but stylish pictorial, I thought, ‘I bet STAY [Stray Kids’ fandom] will really like this.’ Because the outfits, the vibe of the shoot, and the photos are all so great. I think STAY will really be looking forward to this [pictorial]. I’m also really curious to see how my fans react.” He jokingly added with a laugh, “I hope that even more people will fall for me after seeing my photos and video [from the shoot].” Looking ahead towards the rest of 2022, Hyunjin shared, “My main goal [for the year] is a world tour. It’s been far too long since we performed in front of our fans in person. So I want to have fun together with our own people [STAY] watching us as we perform on a stage of our very own.” Hyunjin went on to reveal that being able to perform with his fans physically present is part of the motivation that keeps him going from day to day. “Because of COVID-19 and everything, we really didn’t have any opportunities to meet our fans on stage,” he explained. “but at the end of last year, we finally had the opportunity to perform in front of a small number of fans. “Since it was the first time in nearly two years that we took the stage in front of our fans [in person], it really recharged our energy, and I felt like I had rediscovered my reason for being on stage. Even now, it’s the feeling I got from that performance that’s still keeping me going.” As for how he’s been spending his free time these days, Hyunjin remarked, “What with the end of the year and New Year holidays, we haven’t had many days off, but when I occasionally get some time to rest, I always draw.” Hyunjin’s full interview and pictorial are available in the February issue of Dazed magazine.
